| Recipe: Wild Rice Casserole | |
| Ingredients |
- 1 lb. ground bison
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup wild rice rinsed and drained
- 3 cups water
- 1 T butter
- 2 cans mushroom soup
| - 1/2 cup white rice
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts drained
- 1 can Chinese vegetables drained
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms sliced
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 2 soup cans water

| How to prepare |

Bring to boil 3 cups water and 1 T butter, add wild rice and reduce heat and simmer for 55 min. or until done. In the mean time brown ground Bison, onion and ¾ pepper. In a large casserole put mushroom soup and 2 soup cans water and stir well. Add all of the ingredients and stir well. Bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hr. Add more soy sauce to taste is wanted. May have to add more water. (do not add salt, as the soy sauce is salty). |
