Legends of the Fall

Consignors do NOT have to be members of the association. After spending some time with this bunch of characters we are pretty certain you're gonna wanta!

Non-member convenience fee: $60

Host hotel: Baymont Inn and Suites: 320-845-2145. Make reservations early as the hotel fills quickly. Made by November 9th and mentioning MN Bison Association guests will enjoy the reduced rate of $69 + tax per room. Room rate includes continental breakfast.

Friday, November 29

Consigned animals will arrive; Bison Fundamentals, a free educational class, led by our president Dale Rengstorf, will begin at 1:30pm and our Awards Banquet dinner begins at 6:30 pm (Social begins at 5 pm). Check back late summer for online registraion for Bison Fundamentals and Bountiful Banquet.

Saturday, November 30

The auction begins at 10am sharp. Called by Quality Auction Services. The breeding stock judged consignments will be sold first followed by the non-judged consignments.

The classes offered at the 2019 sale include:

  • Heifer Calves
  • Bull Calves
  • Producers Pride Heifer Calves and Producers Pride Yearling Heifers [3-5 animals per group. Groups will be sold as such and will not be split. (Judged only)]
  • Yearling Bulls
  • Yearling Heifers
  • Two-Year-Old Bulls
  • Two-Year-Old Heifers (Bred for judged portion; Bred or Open for non-judged segment)
  • Mature Cows (Non-Judged Only)

Bison Fundamentals, a free educational class, held at Central Livestock Sale Barn; Albany, MN from 1:30 - 4 pm. (just off of Interstate 94 west of St. Cloud at Exit 147/Albany and go to 34412 County Rd 10).

Members of the Minnesota Bison Association, led by Dale Rengstorf, will present diverse details, different features and "lessons learned" of raising and marketing magnificent bison.

The class is designed for those considering raising bison. Come learn and connect with those who will be passing forward knowledge they have gained over their years of raising and marketing bison.

Participants are encouraged to also make reservations for the evening's Bountiful Banquet at 6:30 pm to continue their education through networking.

Reservations guarantee a take home educational packet.
